G Team~Cavaliers

5509G is a team brand new to Valley Homeschoolers robotics program. We are a GirlPowered highschool team made up of three girls and a robot; Amanda V. Cassie B. Mikaela N. and Stephania, our robot!

Our Coaches are Mike and Betsy Navin, two very generous people who have helped us along in our late start to robotics. 

We started Stephania about mid-October, which was a lot later than all the other teams, who started in July. Our robot may be underdeveloped compared to others, but we make up for it in good driving, sportsmanship, and a thorough Engineering Notebook.

5509G is working hard to make sure that girls are equally represented in VEX robotics and are hoping that in the years to come girls will be inspired to join things that aren't typically labeled as 'girl things'.
